Surface Area
In geometry, the surface area of an object is the total area that the object’s surface occupies. When dealing with a problem or a situation, it can be helpful to think of it as an object in a space. Let’s say you encounter a bug in the system. A bug can have a small and localised impact or a wide effect across different systems. Knowing the surface area is important, as it lets you understand the involved teams and the ramifications of the bug. It also lets you understand the impact of the change or fix you will deploy.
